What is a truck build?
A "build" is the specific combination of modifications on a truck — the lift or leveling kit, tire size, wheels and offset, tonneau cover and accessories — chosen to suit a purpose like overlanding, towing, daily driving or off-road. This gallery shows coherent example builds you can copy, with every spec linked to a calculator so you can adapt it to your own truck.
How do I choose a lift and tire size for my truck?
Start with the purpose. A daily or tow truck usually wants a small level (1.5–2") and a one-size tire upsize for looks without hurting ride or capacity; an overland rig runs about 3" of lift on 33–34" tires; a hard off-road build steps up to 4"+ and 35–37" tires with trimming and re-gearing. As a rule of thumb you can fit about one inch of extra tire diameter per inch of lift before trimming — use the Lift Kit Calculator to size it for your tire.
Will a tonneau cover still fit after I lift my truck or add a rack?
A lift does not change the bed, so a tonneau that fits your truck still fits after a lift. What matters is bed length, the cover type and bed features like a RamBox or bed rails — and whether you run a bed rack over the cover.
